History
The ‘Kent’ mango is named after the mango cultivar Leith D. Kent from south Florida. He successfully bore the first Kent mango in 1939, analysis later confirmed in 2005 many’s belief that the Kent mango was a cross between the Brooks and Haden mango varieties.
